Typossum Android Keyboard — What to Expect

Typossum is coming to Android. Here's what the keyboard brings and when you can get it.

Why an Android Keyboard

The browser extension works great on desktop — but most people type on their phones. An Android keyboard means AI corrections happen directly where you type, in any app. No copy-pasting, no switching between tools. Just type and let Typossum handle the rest.

Key Features

The Android keyboard includes everything you'd expect from a modern keyboard, plus Typossum's AI:

  • Fix Spelling and Improve Clarity — available from the action bar above the keyboard
  • Auto-Correction — smart corrections with a 500ms delay, so they never interrupt your flow (Pro plan)
  • Full QWERTY layouts for English, Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian
  • Language switching — swipe the spacebar left or right to change languages
  • Long-press characters — access diacritics and accented characters without switching layouts
  • Haptic and sound feedback — customizable typing feedback

AI Quality

Typossum is powered by the best available frontier AI models. Corrections are context-aware and accurate across all four supported languages. The same AI that powers the browser extension runs behind the Android keyboard — so you get consistent quality everywhere.

Works Everywhere

  • Android 8.0+ — compatible with the vast majority of Android devices
  • Any app — works in messaging apps, email, social media, notes, and any other app with text input
  • System keyboard — set Typossum as your default keyboard and it's always available

How to Get It

The Typossum Android keyboard launches this month — February 2026. It will be available on the Google Play Store.

If you already have a Typossum account from using the browser extension, the same account works on Android. Your subscription and settings carry over.

What's Next

After launch, we're planning:

  • Custom themes and color schemes
  • Swipe/glide typing
  • Expanded language support
  • Clipboard history and smart suggestions

Stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, check out our Getting Started guide to try the browser extension, or read the full Features Overview.
